Oh, hey! Thanks for stopping by.
I'm Jessica Raye Dekker, hence the “JRD”, most people call me Jess. I am passionate about creating unique works of art that help elevate other creatives’ work.
A few things I can’t picture my days without: 2 cups of coffee, a dance party in my kitchen, and some form of a sweet treat(donuts are my weakness.) If I had a video reel of all the scenarios that happen in my head on a daily basis I am CONVINCED I would have an Emmy award winning comedy. In a nutshell, I’m a major dork and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Over the years each creative experience has layered on another to make sense of where I am right now, doing what I’m doing. I’m so thankful for every part of my story thus far. My first “real” job was at Anthropologie as a Display Coordinator. After 7+ years working on their visual team in several positions, I said my goodbyes to welcome my daughter Zoe into the world Summer of 2017. Prior to that I had honed in on my love for painting and began selling my art. It’s pretty remarkable to see where one decision can lead when you push fear to the side and step forward in the direction you want to go.
In 2018, I began making and selling styling mats and custom backdrops. I’ve had the honor of serving so many incredible clients since then! It’s been very surreal seeing my work featured in Style Me Pretty, Ruffled Blog, Once Wed, Belle Lumiere and Adorn Magazine. Each piece I create is a unique work of art; I love providing each of my clients with styling tools that can’t be replicated.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little bit! If you’d like to hear more about my custom work or even just ask me about those scenarios happening in my head - just click the link below to contact me directly!
