Hi! Thanks for stopping by.

I'm Jessica Raye Dekker, hence the “JRD”, most people call me Jess.

A few things I can’t picture my days without- 2 cups of coffee (minimum), a dance party in my kitchen, and some form of a sweet treat(donuts are my weakness.) . I’m an INFP and I come up with about 5-10 metaphors on a daily basis! In a nutshell, I’m a major dork and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Over the years each creative experience has layered on another to make sense of where I am right now, doing what I’m doing. I’m so thankful for every part of my story thus far.

My first “real” job was at Anthropologie as a Display Coordinator. After 7+ years working on their visual team in several positions, I said my goodbyes to welcome my daughter Zoe into the world Summer of 2017. Prior to that I had honed in on my love for painting and began selling my art. It’s pretty remarkable to see where one decision can lead when you push fear to the side and step forward in the direction you want to go.

In 2018, I began making and selling styling mats and custom backdrops. Painting murals at Anthropologie was one of my favorite things during my time as a Display Coordinator.I’m excited to watch this side of my business continue to grow! Crafting a product that highlights others creative’s work is very inspiring to me. Whether you’re a photographer, florist, maker, you name it- my backdrops and styling mats are one-of-a-kind and will set your work apart from the rest!
