I’m so freaking thankful for support in whatever way it comes!❤️
View fullsize What’s one of your favorite parts of what you do?! A part of your job that just fills you with energy and reminds you why you love doing what you do? I really want to know! . . I love when it finally comes time to paint and I have every thing set up.. plastic drop cloth, canvas, paints open and a clean brush and water. I absolutely LOVE that moment looking at a blank canvas waiting to turn into something beautiful! I also love the finishing touches that happen in the last few minutes while taking a moment to step back at look at what was just created before my eyes! I’m very thankful for this work that I get to do❤️

View fullsize What’s something I love most about creating mats and backdrops, you ask? Okay you didn’t ask.. but I’ll tell you!! I love that my work isn’t the finished product - it’s a blank canvas (literally and figuratively😆) for someone to create on or against! I love that it’s a domino effect of creativity. When I finish my work it’s just the beginning of another creative process!✨ . . Stumbled on this photo today by @alishacrossleyphotography taken at her workshop earlier this year and I’m really feeling this green!
View fullsize I got an email congratulating me on being 24 weeks pregnant today and instead of celebration I was overcome with panic 😅 I’ve got a lot I want to get done and prepare before this precious life joins the outside world! Between being busy with Zoe + my business this pregnancy is seriously flying by! The baby just started kicking as I sat down to post this and I feel like it’s telling me “chill out mom! I’m good, you’re good, ITS ALL GOOD!” You’re right, little babe. And yes, this active nugget will be a mystery gender until birth this time around and the suspense is starting to drive me a little crazy!! I have a little feeling it’s a boy but we shall see in February🤗 . . 📷: @elliekoleen

View fullsize You know when your head seems to be going a hundred miles an hour even though you’re standing still? Like you’re juggling dozens of mental balls and all you want to do is just stop catching some and grab a donut instead? Yeah, me too. 😂 TOO MANY BALLS. . . I’ll stop saying balls now. . I’ve learned over the last year especially that being intentional about down time/rest is just as important as planning to get work done. Am I a master at it? Nooope! But I’m getting much better at it. Zoe has been a big part of this because she’s constantly bringing me into the moment and slowing me down. She literally makes me stop to smell the flowers! Anyways this has just been on my mind today and as I was running around with Zoe in our backyard this morning I realized just how healing moments like that can be. Healing from the mental chaos I can so easily get wrapped up in. . Here’s to saying no to too many balls and yes to slowing down more!🙌🏻

View fullsize Everyone needs a dash cam. . I’m convinced it’d be the best material for a compilation video. Mine would be a series of emotions- road rage, crying while singing a worship song, rapping a drake song, smiling after the first sip of a chai latte, talking things out with myself, taking a bite of a breakfast sandwich and a piece of hot bacon slapping my chin, laughing hysterically at comedy on Pandora, you catch my drift! That’s some quality material right there 🤣 double tap if you’d watch! . . Took a quick break from my to-do’s this afternoon to play around with this color palette! I’m eager to paint on canvas again - it’s been a while!
